Race Day Procedures

The club is trying to encourage more of its members to be aware and hopefully become involved in running club MX events.

The following is an attempt to set out a series of guide lines of what is required on race days.

Juniors riding in “Lites” class must be able to show training endorsement for the capacity bike they are on (up to150cc 2 stroke or 250cc 4 stroke)

All riders make sure you have entered into the correct class, race order and flag roster duties will be handed to you at sign on.

If you require a one day licence please turn up early.

Scrutineering

Following sign on, your bike must be scrutineered, usually two lines, join either.

Some common faults are:- handle bars not plugged, knobs missing from clutch/brake levers, loose spokes, lack or poor quality numbers on front and both sides of bike, operation of brakes, chain tightness.

Flag marshals

All riders and parents of juniors are required to Flag Marshal; you only have to flag once.

Parents that are riding as well as their children please inform the ladies at sign on, riding parents to flag in the allocated senior session.

If you are riding two bikes you must provide a flag Marshal, for one of the allocated sessions.

For first time flag marshals notify ladies at sign on, they will provide a written information sheet, if still in doubt please inform the Clerk of Course before you go out.

Flag Marshal is an important function and a necessary safety requirement before a race can be run, flag marshals are changes during the day as shown on programme.
