Covid Safe Plan

This document details the procedures Macarthur District Motorcycle Sportsman club (MDMCS) will undertake to ensure compliance with NSW Government Roadmap for easing COVID-19 Restrictions. MDMCS has raised a COVID-19 Safety Plan which can viewed at the gate house and via the website. Opening of MDMCS is bound by the NSW Government conditions for a major recreation facility.

The following rules under the NSW Government Reopening starts at 70% full vaccination will be strictly applied and adhered to. Link

·             Entry is restricted only to members located in the Greater Sydney region, including Central Coast, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Blue Mountains.

·             All persons (riders, parents and spectators) aged 16 and over must be double-dose vaccinated, with proof of vaccination provided to gate staff. No exemptions.

·             All membership cards must be scanned on arrival and everyone must register with the NSW Government QR code at the gate house. During busy periods there will be a separate check point located between the front gate and the gate house; this will be used to perform scanning of the NSW Government QR Code and proof of vaccination, which is to be shown to the attendant prior to moving to the gate house.

·             Social distancing 1 person per 4sqm’ individuals MUST be 1.5m distance apart – this includes all spectators. No grouping of riders, mechanics or parents/guardians allowed.

·             Social distancing is only relaxed for:

·              Family members from the same household

·              When medical attention is required.

·             Face masks are to be worn by all members when engaging with any staff member and whilst inside the toilet buildings.

·             Entry will be capped at 250 riders at any one time.

·             On arrival all members are to remain inside their vehicle. Where payment is required for riding, touchless payment is preferred.

·             Parking is to be at least a car space between each pit and no group gatherings. Parking areas to be utilised to the maximum, so as to greatly exceed the minimum requirement, this is to ensure that social distancing is met.

·             No sharing of equipment or machines between riders.

·             Entry is restricted to club members only; membership renewal is available via Ridernet (no day memberships).

·             Any rider requiring medical attention will be required to fit a face mask prior to treatment, (excluding head injuries and breathing difficulties), which will be provided by the medic.

·             The canteen will remain closed until further notice; bottled water is available for purchase from the gate house.

·             Racing can only recommence once the state reaches 80% vaccination. The MDMCS committee will assess and advise if any racing can occur after this milestone has been reached.

If any breaches of the rules occur as outlined above, physical distancing is not observed, or people who refuse to follow directions of a club official, the club may undertake temporary closure of the track.

These rules are a condition of the club reopening under the NSW Roadmap for easing COVID-19 Restrictions, with monetary fines for businesses and individuals if not followed. Any abuse of staff regarding these rules will not be tolerated.

For further information of easing of COVID-19 restrictions at 80% and full reopening on the 1 December 2021 can be found here.
